• Paid time off – pro-rated for the balance of this year:
o [120] hours of paid vacation time accrued at a rate of [4.6154] hours per pay period.
o For every year of services, you are eligible to accrue an additional 10 hours per year up to 200 accrued hours. 40 unused hours may be rolled over annually
• Eleven major holidays:
o New Years’ Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People’s Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after, and Christmas Day
• BCA offers two health insurance plans—an HMO and a PPO. BCA covers the first half of deductible costs on either plan. There is a 30 day wait period from date of hire before eligibility for health insurance coverage commences.

• Life insurance equal to employee’s annual salary up to $50,000 at no charge to the employee.
• Short-term disability insurance is offered at no charge to the employee.
• Long-term disability insurance is required as a mandatory insurance for a nominal charge per pay period.
• All payroll deductions, except long term disability deductions, are made under a Cafeteria Plan, which allows deductions to be made from pre-tax salary. Flexible Spending Programs (increases to the IRS max annually):
o Commuter Assistance Reimbursement, up to $300 per month ($3,600 max)
o Medical Reimbursement, up to $3,050 per year
o Dependent Care, up to $5,000 per year (for 2023)
• 401(k) plan through Fidelity, for which you are eligible to participate immediately. Employees will be auto-enrolled in the plan at a 4% contribution rate.
• BCA regular office hours are 8:30-5:30 M-F, with the expectation of a 40-hour work week unless otherwise negotiated. Employees are expected to be in-person with their teams a minimum of two days per week.
• As an employee, Architect Registration Examination fees are reimbursed half upon passing the exam and the remainder upon successful completion of all exams
• Continuing education is available on a case-by-case basis, and employees are encouraged to submit proposals for continuing education such as Passive House, WELL, LFA, or LEED accreditation, and to attend conferences as appropriate for their position in the firm.
• BCA pays for AIA membership and Massachusetts architectural licenses; licenses in other states may be approved on a case-by-case basis.
